The Color Purple
The Color Purple is about an uneducated women name Celie who grow up in the roral South America. When she become a teenager, she gave birth to a boy. Her father gave away her child because she was too young and because she couldnt afford to support him. Then her father (forced to) married her to a brutal man who mistrated and abused her and had, her has a made. For the second time she gives birth to a baby girl, and her husband gave her child away. Celies younger sisiter sees that she is suffering in every kind of way and especially being the fact that she is not able to be there for her two children and and tells Celie that when she grows up she will recuparate her two children and bring them back to her. Celie has nobody to asked or get advice, nor share her thoughts, concerns and feelings, sho she looks up and prays to God that make one day her life a happy ending.
She then meets a lady who gets paid by dancing and singin and sleeping around with men. This lady helps Celie to find encourament, love and admiration, and helps her get away from her abusive marriage. Celie worked for the lady and one day she decides to make pants for a living. She becomes a designer and wealthy. Her sister grows up and brings Celie her two children back to her. At the end she forgives not only her husband( but doesnt return back with him), her father and everyone that did wrong to her, because she want it to continue with a positive life.

There are a few factual errors Debbie about characters. Celie's father gives away her children because he is their father and he doesn't want anyone to know he is raping his daughter.

You are correct in your evaluation of Shug's influence on Celie and Celie's eventual reclamation of her family.
