Library Love Assignment--Cyber post

Assignment: Find an article in the Library database on love analyzing one of the Greek terms: agape, eros and philia. Which type of love do you value most?

Using the MLA citation guidelines, see Pidd (306-7). Cite the electronic source (the librarian showed you how during the orientation). We will do this assignment in class. This is not homework, unless you were absent.

Homework is to bring in an object that represents love. As you read Dreams of My Father, think about how love is expressed in Obama's life. Love is a theme.

Fill out the Library Worksheet and give to me. I forgot to collect them, so give them to me on Wednesday, Feb. 11. Now that students in the afternoon class know where I am, you have no reason not to visit me during Writing Center hours or make appointments to see me at other times M-Th.

Valentine’s Day
February 14, I heard that in this day most of the people express their love to their beloved. This day is worthy for all the lovers. I am happy that this year I am also going to say someone that I love him so much. I can live my whole life with him. Before I was in love I used to think that this day is wasteful. It’s useless to celebrate. People just party around and just act as they love with each other. No sooner with the starting of the next day they too start to hate each other. These all things made me the negative thinking towards Valentine’s Day. But now I am in love and I can say that how desperately I am waiting for 14th February. Those people who really love each other are making this day alive. It’s not just about having party, drinking and dancing but its all about love. When love touches, the whole world seems to be beautiful; everything seems to be right and perfect. Let’s make alive the day as a holy day, as a day for lovers. I just want to wish you all a very happy Valentine’s Day.
