Freewrite: Not Enough

When reading this it reminded me of my mother. She's always pushing us (her children) to always do better. By doing this, no words of appreciation escaped her lips but only to hear criticism. On-going of this affected my self-esteem to believe that I'm never good enough and feel insecure at most. It makes me sad, but how can I blame her when I myself do that too. I want more and more until I have only the best. I think that is just part of human nature. I think the point of this piece is that we just have to carry on in life and just learn and use our knowledge to our best ability.

Freewrite: Express Yourself

Felica Pride sends a great message on standing up for what you believe in and if you find something in life that stirs a passion or love within you, just do it !

Not Enough Response

It is true what Felicia says about how it is so hard to please people. People seem to bever be satisfied. The more that they get, the more that they expect. I feel that we are the ones that have to fill in our blanks, not others. only we know who we are. we cant let what other people think of us affect who we are. This person had a great idea in doing this
because not many people would be able to say all that she said.

Reading and hearing the words come off the page, I think of the everyday life that most of us live. It's comforting to know there are others in the world that think and feel the way I do and have in the past. When people would take my kindness for a weakness, expecting me to give help and after I receive nothing in return or to say the less a thank you.
Sometimes I now catch myself thinking of doing things for myself and if I can help and make someone's life better along the way, then I move on that blessing.

Express yourself
I can understand how some people are very touch by rap lyrics. She found out who she really was by listening to hip-hop music. She also found her calling and was able to write great literature because of it.
At sometime in our lives we let others tell us what we should do instead of following our own inner voice. Meanwhile feelings are suppressed and are not deal t with, from fear of being disappointed, hurt and shame. It is always wise to be true to yourself and express what you feel. Many forms of art create geniuses everyday
