For the Monday presentation we saw Rhonda Washington present her skit. Her play was about Afeni and Tupac meeting at his place to discuss further about their relationship. However, Afeni admits and faces her addiction problem to drugs and tupac recites a poem to her wrote by him. This scene takes place in the 1990s. The way she incorporated the poem into the skit was perfect because it fit in so well with the theme.

Presentations

Today in class, I thought the skits were excellent. The first one with Kelly and her crew was cool; because you had different ethnicities, portraying some of Tupac’s friends, such as Warren G. The script was very detailed, and was tastefully written. All four did a wonderful job. Would someone like to write a script for me?

Rhonda wrote a moving skit about Tupac having a heart felt conversation with his mother. I enjoyed reading the part of Tupac. Any time you need an actress call me!

In reference to my skit, it was about the disrespect that some men show to women by calling them Bitches. I often hear young females tell each other that, and I tell them, "you are too beautiful to talk like that." About the rap, Too Short is known for calling women bitches all the time. Since the chapter spoke about such issues, I felt I had to speak on it: My second husband for eight years, one day he slip-up and called me a bitch. I hit him up side his head with cast iron skillet. He had to have fifteen stitches. The police told him he had no right to disrespect me when he already knew the consequences. I have gone to therapy, and I am continuously working on my thoughts before acting.

Chapter 1 Rhonda's scene about Afeni and Tupac was also good. The one playing as Tupac was funny! the scene was detailed.

Chapter 7 Katherine Adam's scene was really good, i like the rap she made especially for the scene she's reporting.

Great details in the comments. Watch the grammar. Before posting read aloud and edit.

Chapter 1: Rhonda Washington, Kathleen Adams
The performance was nice and had acted with emotion. The scene was interesting and fun to watch. I like how the song came right on after the play. I like how Tupac wanted to know how would his mother change and start to be there for him. The song relate to the scene, it talks about even though his mother is not there for him all the time, he still love her with all his heart.

Chapter 4: Kholood
This skit was really organized detailed. Even though they wasn’t ready to play their song or find a poem that relate to the skit, but overall their acting was good.

Chapter 4: Lou, and Ramon
Their scene was about a talk show. This talks about how their life, and how they see their community. Even though it was not that organize. The content of their script was good. That was a detailed script, but need to organize for people to know what to read. The poem they choose had related to their scene. It talks about follow your heart, not what you see around.

Chapter 7: Kathleen Adams
The poem that Kathleen had written is about how you don’t let any man to call your names, and don’t let them disrespect any female. Kathleen did a rap, it was short but it talks about the chapter she is doing the skit on.

Epilogue: Julianne
This skit has two parts to it. The first scene talks about where they went to Elephant Bar to eat dinner, and had talked about Tupac was faking his death and living in a nice relax place.
The second scene was after hearing the song “Me against the World” at the restaurant; they all went back to Snoop Dog’s house. Snoop Dog had read one of Tupac’s poems; the title of the poem is “Sometime I Cry.” The scene was short, but I like how the poem was added into the scene. That was a really nice skit; it really shows how much people really missed Tupac after such a long time.

I liked Kholood skit, she knew what she wanted to do in her skit.

Chapter 4

In Lou and Ramon chapter, their skit was a T.V. talk show. It was ok, I thought they should of practice more with their skit.
