The Tears in Cupid Eyes
Tupac was really passionate about “LOVE” and he chooses to express his sorrow through poem and music. One of his poem shows he believe that love happen for a reason and when it don’t turn out right, Tupac believe the rain that is falling from the sky is from cupid due to the person he love leaving him; “In truth I swore the rain 2 be, The tears in Cupid’s eyes”

The poem that I am looking at is called “The Power of a Smile.” It talks about how a smile can heal a frozen heart meaning that a happy expression can be a good of a reason for you to be relaxed. But like gun, fire, wind, and anger bring out the pain in you. A smile can always lighten up the mood. !^.^!v

Free Write: “And I Still Love U” by: Tupac Shakur

As I was reading this poem, I was thinking about how people have so many things, but in the end they feel so lonely. And how people don’t have so many things, they are much better off living a happier life. Tupac Shakur did not have anything, but he has a dream-a dream for the person he love to still be around and help him find his way. Tupac wanted her to know how much he needs her in his life. Tupac would do anything to keep her even if he dies, he would watch over her.

God

When I was alone and had nothing
I asked 4 a friend 2 help me bear the
Pain no one except…GOD

When I needed a breath 2 rise
From my sleep no one could
Help me except….GOD

When all I saw was sadness
And I needed answers no one
Heard me except….GOD

So when I am asked who I
Give my unconditional love 2
Look for no other name
Except…..GOD!

I liked how Tupac did a poem about God. When I was reading his poem, I can understand what he saying. Because when I am upset, confused or crying about anything I can talk to God about it. God understands what I go through.

I picked the poem “Tears of a Teenage Mother”. The reason for me picking was because it basically says that the baby is running out off all these things it need while the daddy is doing his own thing. I like this poem a lot because I can relate to it because I see this on the daily bases.

God (33)

Tupac was sincere about the poem he wrote to God. It seems he was at his lowest point in life, and there was no way to turn. Maybe people around him were'nt understanding or there to lend an ear. He states, "I was alone" that's a god place to be for conversation.
He appreicates God for continuous breath. Though he may not have wanted to get up. He states, "no one could help me except...". He thanks him for life no matter how bad.
Tupac says, "my unconditional love 2 look for ...". He loves God first, with every breath of his body. He might love other people , but no one like God. So I would say there is no failure in God.

Intro- Kelley Yuen
It was good everything she asked for they did in there play. They did it as it was an interview with Warren G and asked them about Tupac and there relationship with hi.

Chapter 1- Rhonda
Afeni and Tupac at the house while they talked about how Tupac mom wasn’t there for him. She talked about how she was so sorry and she was going to change. Very good with good actress.

Ambition over Adversity

I liked what Tupac said about us learning from the pain of others.I think that this is something that people and I myself have to learn to do. It is important for all people to believe in themselves as well as have faith in themselves. If we dont believe in ourselves other people wont either. We should all try and succeed in life and try our best. The reason I picked this peom is because I like what it says. I am going to try to be more like this. Believing is something that I in life try to do. I think that people should follow Tupacs way of life.

Jada

U r the omega of my heart
the foundation of my conception of love
when i think of what a black women should be
its u that i first think of

u will never fully understand
how deeply my heart feels 4u
i worry that we'll grow apart
and i'll end up losing u

u bring me 2 my climax without sex
and u do it all with regal grace
u r my heart in human form
a friend i could never replace

This poem expresses his love for Jada Pinkett Smith. This reminds me of when he asked her to marry him. I see it as Jada being the only women Tupac ever really loved, but unfortunately never had the chance. It is sad to know that he didn't have a happy ending.

Free write- Response to a Poem

If I Fail

If in my quest 2 achieve my goals
I stumble or crumble and lose my soul
Those that knew me would easily co-sign
There was never a life as hard as mine
No father--no money--no chance and no guide
I only follow my voice inside
if it guides me wrong and I do not win
I’ll learn from mistakes and try 2 achieve again.

I like this poem If I Fail that Tupac wrote because I can imagine how his life was growing up with many hardships that he had to go through just to achieve one goal. He had a really tough life and I can relate myself to this poem because looking back at my life until now I have went through many struggle just to get to where I am even though I have both of my parents they were educated so they weren’t able to help me as much. I like the fact that Tupac is a strong person who make mistake and get into trouble, but is still willing to change from the mistakes and try as many time to achieve his goal.

What Is It That I Search 4

In the poem Tupac is not sure of what he is looking for, at least that is what he wanted his readers to think. Who should question if he told the whole truth, about what he wanted. Some may say it was love that he searched 4. For me I would have to say that it was something within that held him back from achieving what he actually believed.

Could it be he was his worst enemy? It is not visible to the human eye; I guess he was searching for something greater high in the sky. However, he did mention the shore: he may have been watching waves roll by thinking about his goals and dreams. Let me see, does it have something to do with self-esteem? I will not suggest anything more, for I do not know what it was that Tupac searched 4.

Ambition over Adversity

Staying confident and never giving up was the importance of what Tupac was saying. Learning from others would certainly help because they been through the adversity, and instead of making the mistakes that kills your faith, you would be wise not to make those mistakes because you would already know. Tupac was a motivational artist as well as a motivational speaker, and I think this proves it by what he's saying and doing outside of music.

Ambition over adversity
I liked this poem from the book because the words were very strong. The poem talked about people believing in themselves. When you believe in yourself other people will believe in you. It also talked about the people who don’t want you to succeed and the people who dought you. When this happens you should use that to motivate you and power you to prove them wrong. You can go as far as you want to go all you have to do is work had. This poems word can relate to everyday life. You will always have adversity, so you have to look passed it and overcome it.
