If I Fail (pg 27)

In Tupac’s poem “If I Fail” he writes about how people should make plans or set goals and not become discouraged if “[they] stumble or crumble,” because we can do anything we set our minds to (Rose 27). He encourages people to listen to their conscious as a guide. I have been in this place before. A few years back I had set a goal for myself. I wanted to receive “A’s” in all my classes during senior year in high school. I had to split my time between church and school. Right after school, I would go straight to doing my homework. I was dedicated to school and wanted to succeed. Tupac pushes the ideals of setting goals, working hard, going through hardship, and never giving up.

During my course of study, I sometimes found it hard to concentrate. Besides that there were many distractions also. I loved to help out missionaries from my church. They would ask me for help and I just couldn’t say no. My friends wanted to go on group dates and to have fun all the time. I was torn in between my goal and people I loved. I felt bad because I sometimes had to reject the invitation of my friends. I felt selfish, but I believe that it is only I who can make me meet my goals.

Passion and determination will be the crucial to reaching one’s goals. Tupac has fallen many times, but has risen even higher each time. Myself like him has used my intuition and conscious as a personal guide. From his poem, readers will be encouraged to be tenacious. Readers could also find hope and strength to rise up again.

Nothing Can Come Between Us on p37

In Tupac’s poem, “Nothing Can Come Between Us” he writes about how true his friend is,

When I was at my lowest
and being a friend 2 me
was not easy or fashionable
regardless of how popular
I become u remain (Rose37).

He expresses his love and appreciation for his friend for always being there for him. His value of this relationship is worth more than gold and money or of any materialistic thing. A true friend never forget to be a friend.

I had many friends in high school. After high school, the friends that still stood by me became my best friends. These friends have seen me cry and act like a fool and still they remained as my closest friends. My relationship with my friends is like an unbreakable bond. They were always there for me and ask so little of me.

A true friend is like gold, they are very hard to find. A friend should be cherished because they don’t come easily. Tupac’s poem has put down the special bond in writing. Everything may change, but the love of friendship will never change.

If I Fail

In Tupac S’s poem “If I Fail” he writes about how the people should make plans or set goals and not become discouraged if “[they] stumble or crumble,” because we can do anything we set our minds to (Rose 27). This poem lets you know how even though he didn’t have nobody to guide through his life he still went on even if he failed. He only did what he thought was best not knowing what the outcome would be. When he did fall he stood back up again once again and started all over again differently until he had what he needed.

He didn’t feel sad for not having someone to help him choose the correct path but deep inside he wished he had that person to show him which way to go. For example he has always been poor and there were times that his mother and him were in a big necessity for food and housing. He did not know what to do and the only choice he had was to join the “thug life.” Since he didn’t have anyone to look up to and life in the streets was the only salvation he sees and essentially the only thing he could see in a level that he can reach. He wasn’t able to finish school for the same reason that he did not know what road to follow in his life.

This is a very good poem it is short but it tells a lot and you can understand it clearly. “If I Fail,” is telling anyone who reads it to not give up even if you feel alone. The key quote from the poem that says that is “I’ll learn from mistakes and try to achieve again.” Everyone needs to have determination in order to achieve his or her goals. Having determination makes it easier to accomplish what you want for yourself.

If I Fail (27)

In Tupac Shakur’s poem “If I Fail” he writes about how people should make plans or set goals and not become discouraged if “[They] stumble or crumble,” because we can do anything that we set our minds to (Rose 27). His poem is an encouraging and motivating poem that I think that a lot of people can relate to because he talks about how there are times that people will encounter some kind of hardship while trying to achieve his or her goals. I feel that it is important to know what my goals are, what my plans are, and what steps I’m going to take to achieve my goals. I can relate to this poem in particularly because there are times where I feel like I fail at chasing my goals or dreams going through hardships and not being guide to achieve my goals. There are many experience that I have encounter trying to achieve. Tupac poems allow people see that there are possibility to trying to achieve goals living in poverty with no guidance.

An experience that I have encounter trying to achieve my goal was during my first year in college at University of California Davis. I was the first to attend college in my family and I was trying to make my parents, my siblings and myself proud, but I feel like I have fail at achieving this goal because I am no longer pursuing my education there. I lived in the dorms with random girls that was assign to the suite and had a great experience throughout the whole year, but my performance in class was not paying off. I did not get good grades in some of my classes where I was expecting to get passing grade because I had made the wrong decision by not studying enough and traveling back and forth from Davis to Oakland where my parents and family lived. Like in the poem I was out in a new environment with no one close to me to guide and I had to just listen to what my insider voice was telling me. I’m learning form the mistakes that have made and making changes to trying to achieve the rest of my goals.

Making plans and setting goals in life will lead me to a better future and good times in life trying to achieve my goals. Something that I will take away from this poem is being passionate about chasing and achieving my goals even if there is hardship along the way. If Tupac was able to achieve his goals then I would be able to as well because he has fallen many times and was able to put himself back at the top at try his hardest at achieving his goals. This poem is a really good from the heart poem that myself and other and learn from.

Some circumstances

In Tupac's poem "If I Fail" he writes about how people should make plans or set goals and not become discouraged if "they" stumble or crumble", because we can do anything we set our minds to (Rose 27).

Goals in life are different from dreams. Goals are more-so realistic plans, other than dreams where its more-so only something you can wish for, or wish for it to happen in your life. Like for an example, my dream is to play in the "NBA", but my future goals in-case that dosen't happen is to become an "Espn-Journalist". In his Tupac's poem he mentions never giving up when you feel like your down and out and when things dont look like its falling in your place.

Things never really fell in my place while playing my favorite sprot, which is basketball. Playing basketball was and still is my life. It's something I love playing to stay out of trouble and to keep me focused in school. While playing basketball at the age of 15 I was living in Tyler,Tx and I decided to play basketball with my friends on an outside-court. If I was to ever play basketball on an outside-court I would need my knee-brace or I wouldn't play. Well instead I took a different aproach, and I decided to play and got injured really bad dis-locating my knee and being out for 3 months becuase I landed the wrong way. I was devistated, I would really think the wrong way mentally about my life after the incident. I would ask myself,"What's the point of breathing if I cant play hoop"? But while injured I thought of it as a blessing because it made me appreciatte playing the sport I love, and how I should never take it for granted. My knee began to get healthy again, and next thing you know I slowly began playing again until this day where I play without thinking about it.

Faith and prayer is important if you really want to succeed in life. Tupac encourages poeple in this poem, and it felt like I read this poem before it came out because it encouraged me after being close to the edge, but without falling.

Nothing Can Come Between Us

In the poem “Nothing Can Come Between Us,” Tupac draws a picture of how a true friendship could last forever even if the friends are no longer together. Pure friendship should not based on a materialistic advantages. It must have a healthy shape by carrying all the values it has. For instance, friends should care about each others, support each others, and have a faith for their friendship.
Most of the people now a days , they either misunderstand the meaning of the friendship, or they ignore its value to them. A healthy friendship acts as a psychological
balance between the emotion and the mind in the human especially when friends are open to each others.
This reminds me one of my close friends whom she always around although we have not seen each other for a decade. She shows me myself clearly with all the negatives and the positive sides I have. As Tupac did, people should value their fiends and work hard to not lose them when they feel they are real.

If I fail by tupac

In Tupac's poem "If I Fail" he believes how people should set goals and not become discouraged if they stumble, because we can reach any heights if we set our sights at it. (Rose 27).

People today, they either misconstrue the meaning of the word friendship, or they ignore its value. A healthy friendship acts as a balancer in life which is how i believe people actually stay sane and don't have as much stress if any.

If I Fail (27) Theme Goals, tenacity, hardship, and determination.
In Tupac’s Shakurs “If I Fail” he writes about how people should make plans or set goals and not become discouraged if “[they] should stumble or crumble,” because we can do anything we set our minds to (Rose 27). This poem is about how in life people have hardships and when that happens they try to give up. Some people make mistakes and through those mistakes they learn what not to do again. Tupac believes that people should not give up and keep trying even when it gets hard.
I feel that this poem by Tupac is a good encouragement and motivation to people. It tells us how even if we cannot achieve the goals that we should not give up. Life is hard and through life we become stronger. I believe the same thing that Tupac does. Every time that I have a goal I try to accomplish it and if I do then I add another goal. If I did not accomplish the goal, then I just keep adding more goals and try to accomplish as many as I can.
I think that having goals is an important thing in life and something that all people should try to do. I feel that goals make a person want to do more in life. When one accomplishes a goal, it feels as if we can do anything. It also makes accomplishing other goals seem easy. I always encourage my little cousin to try their best and tell them that they can accomplish anything that they set their minds to. I try and live life through this example.
The poem “If I Fail” by Tupac, is a good way of encouraging people to make goals and to not give up on life when the goal seems hard. In life we should never give up no matter how complicated or hard it may get.

Nothing Can Come Between Us” by Tupac Shakur

Friendships is something that happens between two people that are very supportive of each other and trust one another. The poem “Nothing Can Come Between Us” by Tupac is a poem about friendship. Also, how having money does not change a person. Nothing can change a friendship not even if the person become famous like Tupac did. The only thing that matters is that they are there for each other in the end.
Cathy and myself have been friends for eight years. We met when we were in sixth grade. We got along very well and just clicked. Since she was not doing well or going to school they sent her to Island and I went to Encinal High School. During this time we made sure to stay in contact and tried to hangout whenever we had time. We were used to being together more often, but that all changed when school started.
Cathy has always been there for me and has been supportive. At times we were too busy with boyfriends and didn’t talk, but in the end we would talk again. There was a big problem when another friend tried saying that I had said something bad about Cathy, when it wasn’t true. She got mad at me and stopped talking to me for a year. One day we decided to talk and she believed me that I didn’t say anything. She has always been there for me through breakups, when I need something, or when something bad has happened in my life. Just as I have always been there for her.
Trust and support is what a friendship needs in order to work. I can relate to Tupac because Cathy has been my very good friend who has stuck by my side. She is my best friend. To us what we have does not matter. We always try to be supportive and to us our friendships is very important. Cathy and I, tell each other everything. We try and not judge each other and always hear each other out. We plan on being friends for a very long time.

Freewrite: Tears of a Teenage Mother by Tupac Shakur

There are many single out there in the world because of all the fathers that do not want to step up to their responsibilities. This poem is about a father that is too worried about having expensive things in life. He is only thinking of himself. The mother is single and cannot afford the things to support her child. This guy has now gotten a new girlfriend and has left them to fend for themselves.
I can relate to this poem because my mother was a single mother. My father did not want to be a dad so he left my mom. He wanted to have many women and did not just want to be stuck with one. My mother found out a few months after I was born that he had cheated and had another daughter with a different women. My dad thought he was too good-looking and young to be a dad. He wanted to have a lot of money and fancy things.
To this day my father has not been in my life. He has not tried to get in contact with me in anyway. He still has many girlfriends and five other children. This man still likes to buy many expensive things and is not ready to settle down. I consider him to be a sperm donor and not my father. I have not needed anything from him and I am who I am today because of my mother.
I think that it is important for girls that have been left by their boyfriends and have a child that they can do it. They can take care of their children. They will find someone in life that will want them and their child. A child is a sacred thing.
Now a day’s many guys are not ready to be dads, so they leave there girls. I am happy to say that my mother has remarried a great man. He has been in my life since I was two. He is who I consider my father.

If I Fail (27)

In Tupac Shakur’s poem “If I Fail” he writes about how people should make plans or set goals and not become discouraged if “[They] stumble or crumble,” because we can do anything that we set our minds to (Rose 27). His poem is an encouraging and motivating. I feel that it is important to know what things you have planned in the future like, my goals , what my plans are, and what steps I’m going to take to achieve my goals. I can relate to this poem because at I have many dreams and goals and it is very hard to stay focused on those goals and dreams. It is very easy to get distracted. This poem helps me keep my head in the right place so I can reach those dreams.
This poem also talked about Passion and determination. This will be the crucial to reaching one’s goals. Upac has been through a lot. Tupac has fallen many times, but has risen even higher each time. In my life I have been through a lot of hardships and battles that I have had to overcome. It was very hard each his but I was determined to go pass it. My passion for the goal I was trying to reach made me stronger.
Tupac never had any help. Most of the time he was on his own. When he asked anyone for help they looked down on him and made him feel like less of a person. His mother was poor and in and out of prison. Tupac decided to go into the rough and hard lifestyle of being in the streets. In the streets he became a man. After all those problems he still fought to dream.
