Remember The Time

In Michael Jackson’s song Remember The Time he reminisces about a love affair he misses. He sings about how young and innocent they were and how it seemed perfect.
How in the fall they would spend all day together and gaze in each others eyes. He beckons her to recall how they met and when they fell in love. They would stay on the phone all night into the wee hours of dawn, declaring how much they cared for one another. It seems like he can’t get her out of his mind and says she will always be dear to him.

I chose this song because it is one of the Michael Jackson songs that appeal to me on a very emotional level. It makes me remember a relationship that I had. It struck me because all the things they did, we did as well, and hearing the words sent me down
memory lane, remembering the times.

Off The Wall

When the world is on your shoulder
Gotta straighten up your act and boogie down
If you can't hang with the feeling
Then there ain't no room for you, this part of town
'Cause we're the party people, night and day
Livin' crazy, that's the only way

So tonight
Gotta leave that nine to five upon the shelf
An' just enjoy yourself
Groove
Let the madness in the music get to you
Life ain't so bad at all
If you live it off the wall
Life ain't so bad at all
Live your life off the wall

You can shout out all you want to
'Cause there ain't no sin an' folks all gettin' loud
If you take the chance an' do it
Then there ain't no one who's gonna put you down
'Cause we're the party people, night an' day
Livin' crazy that's the only way

So tonight
Gotta leave that nine to five upon the shelf
An' just enjoy yourself
Groove
Let the madness in the music get to you
Life ain't so bad at all
If you live it off the wall
Life ain't so bad at all
Live your life off the wall

Do what you want to do
There ain't no rules, it's up to you
It's time to come alive
And party on right through the night, all right

Gotta hide your inhibitions
Gotta let that fool loose, deep inside your soul
Wanna see an exhibition
Better do it now before you get too old
'Cause we're the party people, night and day
Livin' crazy that's the only way

So tonight
Gotta leave that nine to five upon the shelf
And just enjoy yourself
C'mon and groove
Let the madness in the music get to you
Life ain't so bad at all
If you live it off the wall
Life ain't so bad at all
Live your life off the wall

So tonight
Gotta leave that nine to five upon the shelf
An' just enjoy yourself
C'mon and groove
Let the madness in the music get to you
Life ain't so bad at all
If you livin' off the wall

Tonight
Gotta leave that nine to five upon the shelf
An' just enjoy yourself
C'mon and groove
Let the madness in the music get to you
Life ain't so bad at all

Tonight
Gotta leave that nine to five upon the shelf
An' just enjoy yourself
C'mon and groove
Let the madness in the music get to you
Life ain't so bad at all

I chose this song because it symbolizes that you cant just work, work, work, enjoy your life and have fun living it. Michael Jackson is a wonderful song writer and when he made this song I really understood where he was coming from he truly is inspirational.

Doctor, my eyes have seen the years
And the slow parade of fears
Without crying;
Now I want to understand.
I have done all that I could
To see the evil and the good
Without hiding;
You must help me if you can . . .

Doctor, my eyes—
Tell me what is wrong!
Was I unwise
To leave them open for so long?

'Cause I have wandered through this world
And, as each moment has unfurled,
I've been waiting
To awaken from these dreams.
People go just where they will;
I never noticed them until
I got this feeling
That it's later than it seems . . .

Doctor, my eyes—
Tell me what you see.
I hear their cries . . .
Just say if it's too late for me.

Doctor, my eyes
Cannot see the sky—
Is this the price for having learned how not to cry?

I chose this song from the Jackson 5 because it tells the human story of a man who bore witness to too much in his life without showing emotion. Now he has to deal with these visions as he now feels his own mortality. The setting of the story, being him telling the doctor of all his problems hoping for a cure from something that a doctor can’t fix, reminded me of the sad way Michael lived and eventually died trying to cure what no medicine could.
R.I.P I hope he found it

Billie Jean:
She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene
I said don't mind, but what do you mean I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round
She said I am the one, who will dance on the floor in the round

She told me her name was Billie Jean, as she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
And mother always told me be careful of who you love
And be careful of what you do 'cause the lie becomes the truth

Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

For forty days and for forty nights
The law was on her side
But who can stand when she's in demand
Her schemes and plans
'Cause we danced on the floor in the round
So take my strong advice, just remember to always think twice
(Do think twice)

She told my baby we'd danced till three, then she looked at me
Then showed a photo my baby cried his eyes were like mine (oh, no!)
'Cause we danced on the floor in the round, baby

People always told me be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
She came and stood right by me
Then the smell of sweet perfume
This happened much too soon
She called me to her room

Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son

Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son
Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son
She says I am the one

Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover

Billie Jean is
Billie Jean is
Billie Jean is

Not my lover
Not my lover
Not my lover
Not my lover

Billie Jean is not my lover (she is just a girl)
Billie Jean is not my lover (she is just a girl)
Billie Jean is not my lover (she is just a girl)
Billie Jean is not my lover (she is just a girl)

Billie Jean is
Billie Jean is

Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover

Billie Jean is
Billie Jean is

Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover

Billie Jean is
Billie Jean is

Billie Jean by Michael Jackson is a song that states that a groupie is trying to claim a young man as the father of her child. It basically states that the child is not his child. I personally chose this song because it is hilarious to me. I love all of Michael Jackson songs, but this one is my favorite.

BEAT IT

They told him, "Don't you ever come around here
Don't wanna see your face, you better disappear."
The fire's in their eyes and their words are really clear
So beat it, just beat it

You better run, you better do what you can
Don't wanna see no blood, don't be a macho man
You wanna be tough, better do what you can
So beat it, but you wanna be bad

Just beat it, (beat it) beat it, (beat it)
No one wants to be defeated
Showin' how funky strong is your fight
It doesn't matter who's wrong or right
Just beat it, beat it
Just beat it, beat it
Just beat it, beat it
Just beat it, beat it

They're out to get you, better leave while you can
Don't wanna be a boy, you wanna be a man
You wanna stay alive, better do what you can
So beat it, just beat it

You have to show them that you're really not scared
You're playin' with your life, this ain't no truth or dare
They'll kick you, then they beat you
Then they'll tell you it's fair
So beat it, but you wanna be bad

Just beat it, (beat it) beat it, (beat it)
No one wants to be defeated
Showin' how funky and strong is your fight
It doesn't matter who's wrong or right

Just beat it, (beat it) beat it, (beat it)
No one wants to be defeated
Showin' how funky strong is your fight
It doesn't matter who's wrong or right

Just beat it

I chose this song because it is one of the many that I like and it brings out the strength in people. This song is about power and fighting and what happens when you lose.

Billie jean

This song called Billie Jean is possibly one of his biggest hits of all time. The song talks about a girl that's kind of promiscuous and accuses Jackson that she is pregnant with his kid. But Michael denies that is his kid. So the song is basically him singing about her trying to accusing him of the father.

Butterflies

All you gotta do is walk away and pass me by
Don't acknowledge my smile when I try to say hello to you, yeah
And all you gotta do is not answer my calls when
I'm trying to get through
To keep me wondering why, when all I can do is sigh
I just wanna touch you

[Chorus]
I just wanna touch and kiss
And I wish that I could be with you tonight
You give me butterflies inside, inside and I

All I gotta say is that I must be dreaming, can't be real
You're not here with me, still I can feel you near me
I caress you, let you taste us, just so blissful listen
I would give you anything baby, just make my dreams come true
Oh baby you give me butterflies

[Chorus]
I just wanna touch and kiss
And I wish that I could be with you tonight
You give me butterflies inside, inside and I
I just wanna touch and kiss
And I wish that I could be with you tonight
You give me butterflies inside, inside and I

If you would take my hand, baby I would show you
Guide you to the light babe
If you would be my love, baby I will love you, love you
'Til the end of time

[Chorus]
I just wanna touch and kiss
And I wish that I could be with you tonight
You give me butterflies inside, inside and I
I just wanna touch and kiss
And I wish that I could be with you tonight
You give me butterflies inside, inside and I
I just wanna touch and kiss
And I wish that I could be with you tonight
You give me butterflies inside, inside and I

This song is about how Michael really adores this girl and he cares that sometimes she neglects him and foes not really appreciate him. In this song, he expresses his passion and love he has for her and he feels that in order for him to for him to be happy, he wants her to be able to give him a chance to show how he really feels about her.

Love is here and oh my darling, now you're gone you made me love you and oh darling, now you're gone you said loving you would make life beutiful with each passing day but as soon as love came into your heart you turned and you walked just walken away". I choose the lyrics of this song because it reminds me of the first time i fell inlove how i try so hard to love someone that i couldnt love him and at the end we broke up and later on i realize that i did love him when i didnt have him nomore and he went his way and i just disnt know how to deal wid the fact that i was inlove wid him but i didnt realize it until it was gone. . All I want to say is that they don’t really care about us!

Michael Jackson also known as the king of pop is obviously one of the most iconic person in the world. He has opened many doors for many artists and group members such as Usher, Ne-yo, Craig David, Beyonce, Ciara, Jabbawockeez and many more on the rise. After watching interviews in the past I have seen many artist pay tribute to the king of pop. Ne-yo also known as Christopher Wallace has stated that Michael Jackson is half the reason why he is a successful Rnb superstar that he is today. Aside from being a mega superstar, Michael was an entrepreneur, philanthropist and a humanitarian. He devoted his time and money for many charity organizations and has also gone down in the Guinness book of world record as the most charity from a pop star in the edition of the year two thousand. Although Michael Jackson was the nicest guy in the world there were many people who were still skeptical about his appearance, charges and motives.
When Michael was charged for child molestation the police had a warrant to enter his house but instead of just knocking on Michael’s door to ask him to come out, they raided his home with extra force trying to find anything to ruin his image. Even though Michael was found not guilty for all of the allegations, his image would never be the same. The tabloids attacked Michael calling him whacko Jacko it was media frenzy. During an interview on sixty minutes Michael told Ed Bradly about police brutality showing him bruises he received from crooked cops. When I saw the bruises everything just reminded me of the late great Tupac Amaru Shakur. This was the reason why I picked the song they don’t care about us it talks about poverty, situations, police brutality, allegations and just the whole world in general.

Skin head, dead head
Everybody gone bad
Situation, aggravation
Everybody allegation
In the suite, on the news
Everybody dog food
Bang bang, shot dead
Everybody's gone mad

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Beat me, hate me
You can never break me
Will me, thrill me
You can never kill me
Jew me, sue me
Everybody do me
Kick me, kike me
Don't you black or white me

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Tell me what has become of my life
I have a wife and two children who love me
I am the victim of police brutality, now
I'm tired of bein' the victim of hate
You're rapin' me of my pride
Oh, for God's sake
I look to heaven to fulfill its prophecy...
Set me free
