Response to the Syllabus
The syllabus for the English 201a/B was very reasonable and interesting. One of the things that I find most interesting about the semester/syllabus is the fact that we are going to be focusing on is Tupac Shakur and his life. Tupac is one of the most influential rappers of the world and it is good that we are focusing on his life because people do not know that much about him such as his flow, the way he saw the world, and the struggles that he had. He is a great topic and role model of what younger generations need to understand and has a good view of the world. I also did not know that Jasmine Guy wrote a book about Tupac but then again they did work together on an episode of "Different World". Next topic if we can could in the harsh media.
Other things about this syllabus that look interesting is the other guides or books we will be using based on grammar such as Stewart Pidd Hates English and Michael Eric Dysson's guide. The Stewart Pidd Hates English is an interesting title but it will help us write better essays so we can be prepared for what college will give us. One thing that i was wondering about was the fact that we have to do a research paper but also if there is going to be a time where we are going to write an essay based on anything we learned or a topic that we can choose. The research paper sound good and interesting but I also want to know if we are going to have to write paragrpahs or statements that people are going to grade in class. Also, I like how the grading system and homework requirements.
Something that I did not really see in the syllabus is the required materials such as paper, notebooks, etc. Even though this is a college class and people do not need to be reminded of what they need to use to be prepared, there may be a lot of notes that need to be taken. Also, I wanted to know if we were going to focus a lot on culture or anything. Another thing I was wondering is if we are always going to have online homework.

Response to Syllabus

This syllabus for English 201 a/b contains a lot of information and what to expect in this class. Which we will acknowledge to learn throughout the semester. When looking at this syllabus Tupac Amaru Shabukar caught my attention, which we will be reading and learning about this person. He is one of the well known artists, which he is rapper, and how his life went through. He tries to reconstruct his life and with his songs. It will be really interesting about this person and reading about it.
Also, in this syllabus, I saw was Stewart Pidd hates English. It will be interesting because it talks about how he doesn’t spending enough time in his writing task and it is telling us that we should do better in essays and improve our writing skills. I saw were the grading system, and homework assignments. I can see how the grading policy is divided and it shows what needs to be focused on in this class. In this syllabus, I like the requirements for homework assignments and the research paper will be interesting. In this class, we will be focusing on a lot of subjects and writing.
There is a lot of supplies that we need to use and its good to know what to be needed in this class. It is good to get well prepared. We will be learning a lot in cultures and other subjects in this class.

The syllabus for English 201A seems fair and reasonable. I normally dislike reading books but to read about Tupac and his life excites me. Tupac is what started the rap game. I mean he rapped about his life, his family, his hardships, his real rap is real. Im not trying to call other rappers fake, but all they rap about are the same 3 things: money, women, and cars. When it comes to rappers that rap about their life like Tupac, J reyez, and lil crazed one can truly realte to those lyrics and connect with them. I am extremely excited to get to read about Tupac's life and learn more about him.
The rest of the syllabus seems pretty straight forward. However, i would like to know if we will be ever be reading or sharing our essays or writing because i'm uncomfortable in sharing my writing with the class as i find it personal. Regarding the books required for class do we have to purchase our own copy of the book for tupac and jasmine guy or will they be provided in the school library for us to to borrow? Even though this is a college class I am not used to checking my email on a daily basis so i was also wondering if our assignments will be posted on the blog or if it will be told to us in class.

Response to Syllabus

The English 201 A syllabus is comparable to other syllabus’s in fairness and preparations, but it does have some very interesting things that as a class that we are to go over. I find it interesting that we are going over Tupac’s life because I have a dog that is named after him and also I have done some interesting research on him about the assassination. Not only that his music really intrigues me! So I can’t wait to start reading about Tupac’s life! Another interesting thing is that we are going over SPHE. A story that is suppose to influence us to become better readers and writers and to understand the consequences of following the role models ways.
The rest of the syllabus seems straight on point about what to expect. I understand that all the work will need to be done prior to the date like all work should be done. I just want to know if the essays we write will be revised for a better look prior to turning in? Would be great if that can be assessed for the class.
I hope to gain better reading and writing skills from this class. I want to obtain as much knowledge as possible, so to do that I will take as many classes I can each semester also for a better look on my West Point App. Process. I look forward to this class and hope everyone else does as well for their own purposes.

Response to sylibis: The sylibis is cool I guess. I just don't see how I signed up for a english class that ended up being an online course. With all the things that already do not make reasonable sense, I hate to see another add to the list. The class course outline/sylibis shouldn't cross boundaries it was not designed fora. No matter how far technology advances it can be dangerous in the wrong hands or in this case the wrong class.
The course subject Tupac looks like a literary arts class subject performing arts class subject far from english. With no collegei degree it does not seem wise to study that someone No matter how much money he generated Morals and knowledge out weigh money any day anywhere.
Epistemology is something I have never heard of but it looks interesting. The study of knowledge- how we came to know what we know. Ground work foundation building blocks. Like M. Garvey say History sets the future course. What a heavy burden for leaders to carry. Their mistakes bad decisions whether parents or presidents effects everybody directly and indirectly. So does their good ones.

I find the Syllabus very informational and a good outline for the the Class, I am looking forward on learning about Tupac Shakur. That is goingt to be the most interesting to me because i have a heart for music and getting deeper into his poems and songs is going to be interesting.
Another thing that caught my attetnion was the Stewart Pidd Hates English book and i just got out of an English class doing that book and it was a very helpful book because i lack skills in english. Not only will it brush me up better i really felt that my last english class improved my skills. The reasearch paper also caught my attetnion becuase the topic is very interesting to me andI feel that if its a topic i enjoy i should do a good job. Overall this class sounds perfect for me i look forward to learning and preparing to be reading for the next level if english.

Response to the Syllabus
The English 201a/b syllabus was easy to understand. It held a lot of information that will be needed for me being a student. I like that it gave the informtaion of th material we will be reading in this class.
I liked how we will be reading Tupac Shakur books. That was the main thing that stood out to me. Being a student I expect something traditional and boring. I am sure to know that this will keep me engaged in the class. I find it very interesting to learn about his life. Through his eyes also through his mothers eyes. I find it very interesting to see how his mother felt to be a reason of his child's anger. I want to understnd what her feelings are towards her son. I also want to know his feelings twards her. Where did his anger towards his mom began and why? I am very interested in being able to learn this so that I can pass knowledge to those that are around me far as his life. Him growing up is something I want to learn more about because he lived in a differenet town then I do we could have faced similiar situations. I want to see his life through his eyes. I also want to see his mothers feelings towards his lifestyle.
I have never read any of the books listed. Some of them I have never even heard of. I am excited to know I am going into a class at the start of something new being learned and taught to me. I hope to gain an easy understanding if these are complicated books.
The syllabus did not contain the amount of the books we will be reading. It also did not contain the information if we will have to pay for them. If the books are going to be assigned from the proffesor, us students should have knowledge of this. It also did not state the dates in which we will began work assignments.

Responding to the syllabus. I am very intrested in learning about ways to present information in essay form. I think that there are many different ways to present information through expression of words or thoughts. Writing papers differ some what in the high school level. I think there is a bit more research done on college level paper copared to a grade level or high school essay.I think with the proper preparation this semester a student can achieve an A in this course but it will take some learning at home as well as in the class.
The next subject i would like to talk about is the individual Tupac Shukur. This man par in the Hip Hop community. Most popular on the west coast. I think when it comes to the suject of English and talking about that man, most people would not relate them together. Me on the other hand would like to open up my mind to learning through individuals not normally used. I encourage other students to brouden thier prospective and do the same. Tpac to me was't anyone to idolize especially when hearing his rap lyrics. Many things can be learned through different people in different expierences.
lastly I would like to talk about the book we will be reading Stewert pidd. This character from what I see in your syllabus is very lazy. From what I get out of this character in your syllabus is that at times he just doesnt pay attention to little details. I think that a lot of students can sometimes relate to Stewart. We just get so overwhelmed at times we look over the small things and corrections.
After seeing the syllabus for this semester I think this will be a fun course to take. It will also be informative on the basic writing skills. I look forward to it.

Response to the Syllabus
The syllabus for fall English 201A/B is interesting to me. I am most interested in all the books we will be reading since I am a big fan of reading. I cant wait to read about Tupac Shakur and his life along with the book about his mother Afeni Shakur "Evolution of a Revolutionary" by Jasmin Guy. I have always felt that Tupac and his mother had a story that the world needs to know about, especially Tupac because he went through so much that alot of people dont know. They tried to portray him as a bad guy "Thug" type when in reality he wasnt but he wasnt your typical rap artist he had alot of messages in his raps and i cant wait to learn more about him. I like how we will be doing alot of writing and research papers this will help me out because i nedd to improve on my writing as well as reading. Im also interested in working in the workbook "Stewart Pidd Htes English" so that I can improve my grammar. I feel like this class will be a challenge and I am up for a challenge. I also feel like the grading policy is fair, if you dont think your up for the challenge then this is not the class for you. I look forward to learning new things in this class and look forward to having a great semester.

I found the information in the syllabus to be very interesting and motivating. My goals to be achieved by taking this course are to become a n articulate and proficient college - level writer.

I'm pursuing a Bachelors Degree of Psychology with hopes of becoming a substance abuse counselor, therefore my writing needs to improve.

This class offers readings on Tupack Shakur, Stewart Pidd and the SPHE which I find to be exciting and am very motivated to get started.

English 201 Syllabus Response

As I was reading through the syllabus I got excited. I’ve always wanted to learn/practice my essay writing and I think this would be the perfect class. English being my second language, I’m excited to learn all the class has to offer. I’m also excited about studying more about the hip-hop culture and Tupac Shakur’s life. He made it clear that he was a “thug” and everything he did in his life, he represented it as “Thug Life”. I’ve always been really curious about why he represented being a thug. I think the research project is very excited too because we’ll be going out of our way to meet all these great influential people.
Besides all of that I’m very excited about everything else this class has to offer. I think the grading system is very reasonable, and the way it divides up. I was wondering if we could borrow the books we’re going to read from the library? And is all of our homework assignments going to be posted online? Other than that, the syllabus is very straight-forward and I cant wait for the outcome of this class.

This syllabus was one of the most thorough and interesting syllabus’s I have ever had. Listing off what was going to be taught in the class from the first assignment to the objective of the teacher, even times and day’s that we can meet with the teacher for tutoring if needed. Even the books seem like something my friends and I would read on our free time. There were very few things, if not anything that was left out.
The topic’s that most interest me were the fact that we are going to be studying the life of Tupac Shakur through one of his books and his music. Research projects are one of my strongest suits, so that is also intriguing! As far as the course objective, it seems that we will be getting into a lot of writing layout skills and overall skills needed to write proper essays and other writing styles.
Another interesting part of the syllabus is the books assigned to this class, Holler if You Hear Me by Michael Eric Dyson and The Rose that Grew from Concrete by Tupac Shakur. As mentioned earlier these book’s sound more like fun personal reading rather than class assignments. Even the grading seems thorough to my learning style, in regards to the fact that I do not get along with test and they are not a massive chunk of our grade. Thank goodness!
Overall I am very much looking forward to taking this class, even though it is going to definitely be a challenge; I believe it will be one of the more helpful classes I take this semester possibly even this school year.

Response to the Syllabus

Going through the Syllabus, everything I read seemed to make sense and come off as reasonable. I'm looking forward to learning and studying about Tupac Shakur. One of my biggest interests is Hip Hop, Tupac specifically shaped West Coast rap and lyrically is one of the most articulate and pronounced styles in music. I think it's very important to put into perspective what and how icons like himself help to shape the music industry as well as the community.

The grading rubric seems to make sense, i like the percentage distribution. The no late work accepted policy will hopefully fix any procrastination habits I've formed. The first presentation interested me as well, as an aspiring MC I often think about what makes Hip Hop such an incredible culture and my favorite music genre.

Reading the Course Objectives gives me a really good idea of what to expect to be learning as well as good goals to set. With this class, I hope to become a much more confident, and skillful writer. The Student Learning Outcomes caught my eye, I think that becoming more aware, and understanding is extremely important. I know how important it is to be able to convey thoughts and arguments in writing, and look forward to improving these skills.

The syllabus for English 201a/b is complicated. There is a lot of information to digest. I think this course will be challenging. I will have to read this syllabus a couple of times or more. Eventually, I will get into the flow of your teaching style.
The books listed on the syllabus seem interesting. I’m not familiar with all of them. I have heard about “Holler if you hear me” by Michael Eric Dyson, Ph.D. The other titles I have never heard of. I think Tupac’s mothers’ memoir will be interesting. Because we all have those love hate relationships; whether it’s between mother child, husband and wife, or any other relationship. Some ultimately being made stronger and others forever tarnished. Tupac’s book “The Rose that Grew from Concrete” should be very interesting. The mere title makes me curious. Stewart Pidd Hates English should be interesting. I might even get a few laughs, because every body has a subject they hate. Unlike Stewart, I like English, but I hate math. Last but not the least, the book by Diana Hacker called “Rules for Writers,” will be the icing on the cake; because it will be my bible for the class. Nevertheless, I will purchase all of them and start my journey on improving my thinking, reading and writing skills.
As we move along the syllabus, and I get familiar with it, I will come to enjoy this class. As I said in the beginning, it is a lot to digest. You are the instructor and your credentials are evidence that you can assist me with becoming a more proficient thinker, reader and organizer.

The syllabus for English class 201B was very clear and to the point, i am looking forward to experience Prof. Sabir way of teaching, especially when we are focusing on one main topic the whole semester. Tupac Shakur was one of the most well known rappers, unfortunately I know very little of. Learning more about his life and success will be very interesting. I was wondering if our assignments will mostly be depending online, only to better prepare myself. I strongly believe that I will better my writing and reading skills in this class. I am looking forward towards the outcome.

The 201A/b syllabus caught my attention when Tupac was brought us. I listen to some of his songs and I never really had a class where we actually learned about his life and also his mothers life. One of the main reasons this interest me is because i am an African American male and I rarely learn about african american males or rather African Americans period in class. I feel that for me to do well in a class i have to be into what i'm learning or studying about to do well and this is one of those times.
Another thing that caught my eyes was the portfolio. My portfoli in high school was done improper and done to quickly and i completely skipped my portfolio in middle school so i hope that i can improve my portfolio to an acceptable level for myself.
Last and to me this is the most important to me. As i have mentioned earlier i work best in a class the interest me and hopefully this class will be a class where the work is interesting but still challenging, also it would help if my classmates arent shy.

i would like to know if we are sharing are essays with our classmates because sometimes i find it awkward to read in front of class not because i am shy but because i read very fast and its kind of hard for me to read slow because i am so use to reading fast.

The syllabus was pretty clear about what we should expect during this upcoming semester. I’m pretty exited to be reading about Tupac he happens to be one of my favorite artists of all time and his going to keep my mind focused and me wanting to turn and do my work. I like how all his songs got a meaning and a story behind it he just dint rap about women and cars and guns. He instead raped about society and from a different point of view he was the voice of the poor and the bottom and middle class his death was a big tragedy. I want to see what new things I can learn about his as we go.
The rest of the syllabus was pretty straight forward I see we have to do a bunch of essays and a couple presentations I’m really looking forward to sharing with the class the grading system is fair the only question is if we are going to really have weekly essays? I’m prepared for the semester and all the challenging things that come along with it. I got to challenge my brain and see how far I can go with it and maybe ill discover some things about me that I dint know I was capable of doing.

Response to the Syllabus
The Syllabus for English 201A was very understandable and also detailed about what we will be doing this semester. There are some things I found interesting about the semester I like the fact that we will be focusing on Tupac Shakur and his life. I’ve been introduced to it before but I find it interesting that we will be learning about his life and rapping career. Many young teenagers and adults relate to his music a lot. By reading the syllabus I found out many people wrote a book about him that I didn’t know about.
Also in this syllabus I see that we will also be learning out of another book that seems interesting and helpful in many different ways. I read the reviews on the book Stewart Pidd Hates English and I find it helpful for me in a lot of ways so I can improve and be a better writer. I like the research paper topic I find things like that very good to write about because you learn a lot from such topics. I was confused on the Reading logs. Do we make our own and keep track of it ourselves?
I hope to gain a lot of knowledge from this class. So it can stay with me for the future as I continue to take English classes. I feel this class may be a little challenge but I’m up for it. And I hope to have a great semester.

I find the syllabus for this class is quite easy to handle. I'm International Student and English is not my native language. I've spend a year learning academic English, and most the subjects that I've done were about science and things belong to that. I was bored and not doing my homework sometimes because all subjects weren't interesting for me. In addition, I had a perspective about reading and writing classes are boring. However, after I'd read the syllabus, I changed my perspective. I think this class will be so exiting since we are going to be learning about Tupac and doing assignments about Hip Hop. I'm extremely interested in this.
Moreover, when I read the syllabus, I noticed that I'm going to do a lot of work during this semester, but it seems all will be productive. I still need work on writing, reading, and grammar, and these thing we will be studying in this semester. So I can say I will make a big hop in my English in this semester.
This is what I think about the syllabus and I hope that all of my classmate love the syllabus and find it interesting. Maybe it's my first semester in the college and I don't know about other professors' subjects that they most the time use, but you seem a friendly professor. I look for ward seeing you in class.

In response to the syllabus, I find the course outline to be interesting. I believe that this will be a very different English class from all of the classes that I have taken before. The theme of the class seems to be something like social and individual empowerment. I may be wrong about the theme but if it is, that is amazing.
I believe that reading about the life of Tupac Amaru Shakur is extremely smart. English is one of the most boring subjects to me in school and having assignments based on things I grew up with and are still part of my daily interests will help me stay focused. Also, discussing Tupac’s life will also give everyone life lessons.
I also really like the grading system. The fact that the percent for the midterm and final are low is really good for me because I am a really bad test taker. I am a little nervous about the research essay presentation has to be between five to ten minutes because I have no idea how I am going to talk that long; but I will figure it out when the time comes. Also, I like that idea that you are always reachable. I do find it funny that you said it was okay to text you if we needed to. You seem like a very caring teacher that is serious about your work.

Response to the Syllabus

I have many goals and ambitions for this semester and I plan to fulfill them with outstanding grades. My number one goal is to get an A+ in English, while balancing the other classes as well. I always turn in my homework on time and study for tests, and hopefully by taking many courses it will be a very great challenge competing with each class. My 2nd goal is to put in all my time and effort for the English class in essays, homework, participation, and tests. I also, plan to be on time to class everyday when class starts. I will come to you if I need any help or have any questions to make sure I am doing the work right and getting a good grade on it. I would like to take a sport and also, get straight A’s or B’s in all my classes. My 3rd goal is if we have to do a presentation in class or group project I would not be shy and I would be able to do a presentation without getting really nervous. I like meeting new people but, I’m somewhat shy. My 4th goal is to meet new people while, I’m in the class and make as many friends as I can so we could form study groups. And, my 5th final goal is to work as hard as I can and still survive English class. But I will, for sure not give up. I will work as hard as I can, so in the future I can get a good job, and get into a university of (choice). I intend on focusing on my major in two subjects’ biology and business so I could become a dentist and maybe, open a business someday. Some, of my strengths that I will bring to the class are: I’m a very organized person and have all my papers neatly in order in a binder, I am pretty independent when an assignment is given to me and could help others who don’t get it, I’m very responsible when getting my work done and trying to study for a test, I’m a patient person, I follow directions as told, and if I don’t understand something I will ask a classmate than the teacher. I am good at taking notes, as well as listening to the teacher when directions are given, and I think I write well, but my grammar may need some improvement and putting sentences in order to making sense. I would like to leave the class with learning a lot of skills and knowledge. And also, learning whatever the class has to offer. But, I would really like to leave with improvement in grammar, and sentence structuring so I could become a better writer and hopefully, move on to English 1A and 1B. To achieve this goal, I will work very hard and make sure I get A’s on the tests. Balancing the classes would be hard, but I am up for the challenge and I’m very excited to start in this class this semester and do whatever the course has to offer. The book were going to read about tupac seems pretty cool and exciting focusing on his subject and how he influenced our life. Tupac started rap and since than everybody has been talking about him. He basically, rapped about his life and what he went through.I am very excited, to be reading about him and learning more facts about him, that i didnt know. Also, i noticed we are are going to be writing essays to become better writers to practice. And i also, would like to know if we would be presenting at all in class? And, the points for homework, tests, and classwork seemes pretty straight forward.

Response to the Syllabus
After reading the English 201 A/B syllabus, the requirements for a passing or achieving a higher grade is adequate for a typical student that is taking this course level. The interesting part of this class is the topics that is being cover in this semester, in which a famous artist, poet, performer is used to understand the fundamental idealism and life even-though it was cut short through reckless violence. This is the first time that such a professor has used this type of format to assess the ability of their fellow student in reading and writing. Speaking on myself, I am more like the Stewart Pidd of my Asian roots. Maybe its the language barrier although I have been here since a small child coming coming a foreign country. Maybe its that the education I received didn't dictate the foundation needed for my reading and writing abilities. Maybe there wasn't a mentor or teacher that speak a passion for the English language but I am prayer that this time around, I can pass with flying colors.Regardless of the situation, coming from last semester with taking this type of class I do know what is required for brushing up with my lack of grammar and technical skills. Either way the more I know the better I will be at English 1A and 5, hopefully. I do like the topics are being discussed and presented orally or on paper thorough email, it will make me a better writer at some point and i can applied this to my other classes that is needed of some formal documented for grading and review either in the academic environment or in my professional setting.

Response to Syllabus

The first thing that caught my eye when looking over the syllabus was the study of Tupac Amura Shakur's life. For a year or so, i have been listening to hip-hop and other genres of music to motivate me. What better subject to learn about than a hip-hop legend that i can listen and learn more about. i was shocked about the subject this semester in a good way. I think opening up peoples eyes to a "thug" and whats really behind the perception will influence young adults to stop making judgements and really try to understand why a person acts the way they do. Through struggle, Tupac was able to touch my heart with the first song we listen to "Keep Ya Head Up" and in a sense, motivated me to conquer real life problems. im really excited to listen and learn more about Tupac.

The course objectives really hit me when i read the syllabus. All the goals at the end of the semester are what i pictured myself learning after a semester full of English. Gaining these skills is a plus because i came into this class knowing but i haven't really had experience practicing the skills for a while now. I think this semester will help refresh my knowledge and help me gain the necessary skills i will need in the future.

My favorite part about the syllabus and what i think you should continue doing is having the mid-smester conferences. Its a good way for the student to keep up with their grades. Also, it gives the students a chance to express any concerns that they have with the teacher and from there, can find a reasonable solutions for the rest of the semester. Some other classes i have been in, never did a mid-semester conference and i was just lost. Now, i will be able to find out how I am doing and present my questions and concerns to the professor.

The thing I noticed most while reading the syllabus was the inclusion of tupac shakur as one of the main topics for discussion. The balance of direct content from shakur both via songs and writings and outside material provides the perfect balance of insight into shakur’s mind and ideas along with outside analysis, the use of Stewart Pidd hates English is a great addition due to the fact that my grammar has always been one of my weak points throughout high school. The use of texts to apply grammatical lessons is in my opinion the best way to get grammar across in a way that keeps students interested.
The grading policy would in my opinion be described best as firm but fair in that it allows for recent assignments to make up for outdated ones at least in terms of percentage. The fact that late assignments will not be accepted may seem obvious but is unfortunately necessary due to the fact that if we say used a 10 percent off per day system students might feel safe in taking an extra day to finish an assignment.
The work load may be seen as heavy by some. In my opinion this is readily balanced by the fact that at minimum we are given all the major assignments in advance. This seems to follow a philosophy of pushing hard to force us to go to new heights. This is beneficial to the students because if we are not pushed then we will most likely not push ourselves.

I think Tupac was tryin to encourage woman to build herself up'she nearily gave her life to raise me right'.Or because He wanted a proper lady to be his childrens loving mother. His song keep your head up was written in the comparison form of good man versus bad one and woman who are Ideal mates or one's who need Encouragement. To revive their innervalue He chose words that stung the air. It Sounds like a plea for both man and woman to stop mistreating eachother Increase their manners, 'If He can't learn to love you You should leave him' A sign of a man's role unfulfilled. In 'I'm still Trying to hold on to Surviving friends' it shows his Effort to keep things together. As well As I'm Tryin to make a dollar out of $.15

Response to the Syllabus

The syllabus for English 201A is some good preparation for English 1A. Some things I found very beneficial are, the argumentative writing, and descriptive writing. Moreover, what I found interesting is how we will be going into depth with Tupac Shakur's life. Since I love rapping and want to have a career in rapping this opportunity to learn more about Tupac will in increase my ability to write better lyrics and understand the mind-set he had and learn from the positive aspects of his character and rapping career. Further along, I love how the essays we write will be corrected personally and include errors and notes. That is really important to me when teachers let you know what you are lacking in a essay. The research paper seems interesting, I love researching so this should be fun and something new. The syllabus seems relax, and focused on the point of English. For instance, how we are required to write one essay weekly seems like good practice and preparation towards mastering English. The syllabus is straight to the point and detailed with the objective and purpose of the class. The goals in the syllabus are wonderful goals and can be accomplished with a choice. I look forward to seeing how much I have grown at the end of the class and how much smarter I will become towards English. Overall, I am glad to be in this class.

He tries to reconstruct his life with his songs. It will be really interesting learning about this person and reading about him.
Also, in this syllabus, I noticed that we will read Stewart Pidd hates English. It will be interesting because it talks about how he doesn’t spend enough time in his writing task and it is telling us that we should do better in essays and improve our writing skills. I also noticed the grading system and the homework assignments. I can see how the grading policy is divided and it shows the parts that we need to focus on in this class. In this syllabus, I like the requirements for homework assignments and the research paper will be interesting. In this class, we will be focusing on writing and a lot of subjects.
There is a lot of supplies that we need to use and its good to know the things that we need in this class. It is good to get well prepared. We will be learning a lot of cultures and other subjects in this class.

Response to the Syllabus
The syllabus for this semester English is very different from my other classes Syllabus. im looking over it right now and i see thay we are reading books about Tupac Shakur. Tupac is my favorite rapper so i know alot of him. i see that Jasmine Guy wrote a book about Tupac which is very suprising to me. i know they worked together so maybe they were good friends. i also see a book on here called, "Stewart Pidd hates English." the title is pretty crazy and funny. i hope its a good book. i see all the assignments on here so i can get my book and get started working on it as soon as possible. i hope i do goodin this class and pass with an A because i never got an A in any of my english classes. so i can be working as hard as i can.
