the rose that grew form the concrete- Crawling with no feet Nature warm clear scent smelling and breathing the fresh how does no one care. People there without a care?
Instead of tall bushy branches this creates a concept of the 'impossible' becoming possible

Heal The World Free Write
Heal The World was a song sang by Michael Jackson released in 1991. In the chorus he says “ Make it a better place For you and me and the entire human race There are people dying If you care enough for the living Make a better place for You and for me”, which I feel is one of the most important messages of this song that he was trying to tell the world. This part is not directed to a single person, but to everyone around the world. I believe that he is trying to say that to change the world and make it a better place is a job that can only be truly completed if everyone works together rather then excepting others to do it instead. In the first verse he also says “ There’s a place in your heart And I know that it is Love”. The meaning of this quote to me is that everyone has a caring side in them no matter how evil they seem to be, and that if you offer your love and kindness to others it could bring a brighter tomorrow. From my personal experience, opening your kindness to others in need of help gives you a feeling inside that makes me feel proud that I was able to do something instead of just walk away. While writing this song, Michael was probably intending to give the people hope that we could make a better future for our children, which is what everyone wants, but not what everyone works towards.

The line "By keeping its dreams, it learned to breath fresh air" stood out to me in this poem. i think that this line metaphorically relates to someone in this case Tupac who can only reach freedom(fresh air) once they've followed their heart(dreams) and achieved individual goals in their life. This line can relate to all the people in the world who decide that obstacles are only temporary and true happiness will come from obtaining certain desires in life; either from internal values, external objects, or dedication life achievements. I feel that this line can in a sense, can be related to my mindset because i think inner peace and freedom(Fresh air) come with the satisfaction of becoming an individual that you believe defines your beliefs and values making one receive inner peace in life.

Freewrite: Tupac's Concrete Rose

The last stanza in the line sounds so powerful and somewhat of a metaphor, "Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else even cared." I like this line because it says long live someone who has a successful journey when no one else even cared or doubted their dreams and did not think he or she could accomplish anything. The rose is a metaphor of a person and from how it is written, it might be about Tupac's life and how he became a successful rapper who came from the hood. Tupac could be describing his life of living in the hood and not having people to support the dreams he had on trying to change the world around and protect the youth especially those of color.

“The Rose that Grew From a Concrete” by Tupac Shakur

With only few lines this poem speaks out a greater message. I feel that everyone faces obstacles (concrete) in their lives, and through such trouble in life a person can achieve greatness. The people (rose) must pass all these obstacles to reach their goal in life, and to be successful one must push forward and not let anything get in their way to their dreams.

In the poem "A rose that grew from concrete", by Tupac Shakur, I infer That he uses a flower as a symbol for a person. The flower growing from concrete represents anything from trying to find success in a bad neighborhood or environment or something as small as finding yourself alone in an argument. Both things work as long as the flower represents yourself, and the concrete represents the thing/person holding you back.

The rose that grew from a concrete by Tupac Shakur

The rose that grew from a concrete shows that people have obstacles in there way(crack in the concrete) . With some obstacles in people lives and with working hard people can succeed. People should get their dreams to comes true and with freedom (fresh air). They should work hard and get their goals and dreams because it is waiting for you.

Heal the World Free Write

Michael Jackson, a famous singer wrote the song Heal the World in hopes for people to make the world a better place. Michael Jackson mentions in his song, Heal the World, “Then why do we keep strangling life, wound this earth, Crucify its soul, though it’s plain to see, this world is Heavenly, be Gods glow.” It seems that in this life it’s difficult for the people to make the right decisions for the better of the future. Most of us are selfish and become consumed with greed. People don’t realize how much we affect the future movement for further generations to come. The influence given to others just seem not to be satisfactory to result into a “heavenly world.”
Michael Jackson tries to explain in his song that we shouldn’t only try to make the world a better place, but also become the better person. He says in his song Heal the World, “There’s a place In, Your Heart, And I know That It is love, And this Place could, be Much, Brighter than tomorrow.” He is trying to explain that in our hearts, we can feel to make something better. Our hearts should pursue the righteous for our progression in this world. So to further our positive influence, your heart must be fully committed to introduce a happy future.
Michael Jackson is a great influence to many people around the world, and with his song Heal the World, he further involves himself to better this world contamination. This song has introduced and ended with how the world can be a better place for everyone. With all the struggles, pain, obstacles and violence that occur, they still find the hope to fix it. The only way the problems will be fixed is if the individuals will commit their hearts to change it. Like Michael Jackson says in his song Heal the World, “There are people dying, If you care enough, for the living, make a better place, for you and for me.”

The Rose that grew from concrete" by Tupac is a strong poem.
The line "Funny as it seems by keeping its dreams it learned to breath fresh air." is an inspiring metaphor. The rose can breathe and wants to survive as a person. No matter what happens in life, people should never give up.

In the poem the rose that grew from the concrete auto biographical Tupac said "proving nature’s law wrong by walking with no feet". I think tupac was really cleaver for this line, in the poem his talking about such a beautiful thing such as a rose growing up in some were dirty and hard such as concrete. The line “proving natures laws wrong by walking with no feet” goes to show that the rose got up and started walking away. That line paints picture in your head and you really see a rose walks away. You know that a rose cant walk so for the fact it did it was a miracle.

the line "Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air". stood the most out to me as i can relate to it. that one should always look at the positive side of the situation and just keep on walking ones path and ultimately one will be enlightened.

The Rose that Grew from Concrete had many interesting phrases and sentences. However, the line thats stood out the most to me was when Tupac Shakur mentioned essentailly the rose that grew from concrete was still glooming and intangible regardless if people tried to cut it down or did not even notice it, the rose still continued to blossom unnoticably. That line surly has power. To become so focus on a purpose or a mission that you become unstoppable and to add that you become careless if people notice you or not your duty is to still blossoming no matter the attention that is given.

The Rose that Grew from Concrete
One particular line that struck me with irony and convection was “Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else even cared!” pg. 3 is Tupac Shakur resistance to inner beauty and enigmatic (rose) and no matter what the (concrete) was – harsh reality of life when he lived in and the people that disliked him. He stood grounded in his roots from the “rose” and never been anything or anyone else’s than himself and that was the “concert” in which he stood.

Life through My Eyes
In the poem “Life through my Eyes” pg 11, from The Rose that grew From Concrete, Shakur states that a young man journey embark on the jungle, urban streets in his hometown in Baltimore and in los Angeles often leaves the young “Soldier” limited options of staying focus but one’s destiny can transcend one life’s negative circumstances or “limited opportunities” due to social and demographic standing.
Untitled
The poem “I cannot bear captivity 4 I would rather be stricken blind than 2 live without expression of mind” pg. 15 from The Rose that grew from Concrete focus on Shakur’s mentality that he himself won’t be imprisoned for his creative thought process through the oppression of society, political affiliations and his peers. No one can hold him down except himself and that isn’t what he truly believed to fulfill his destiny as a musical artist but also a “black man” in which creatively and self expression is acknowledge to the masses.
